PolyGrid is an elevated flooring panel specially designed to meet industry demands for secure flooring for Marina Decking, Boardwalks and Access Equipment.
One of the most demanding challenges for public safety is the elevated platform industry. Pontoon Builders, Nature Trail Designers, Construction Scaffolders, Window Cleaners, Electricians, Roof Restorers, and Emergency Rescuers all rely on secure decking.
Elevated flooring must be strong, resistant to weather, secure and provide good grip, particularly when wet. Traditionally, plywood and timber have fulfilled this role, however they only partly fulfill safety requirements. Eventually, they rot, are susceptible to slipperiness when wet or muddy, and are heavy.
Typically, heavy elevated flooring panels are the norm, often exceeding the mandated safety limits for installation. They risk OHS load capacities, and make structures top-heavy. However, traditional plastic panel designs usually have lower strength in structural applications, compared to wood and metal.
PolyGrid offers a solution to this. Clever materials and design have given PolyGrid an amazing increase in strength, whilst saving an incredible 70% on traditional weights.
Measuring 1200mm x 400mm, PolyGrid fits many standard platforms. Featuring clever underlying rib reinforcements that act like the arched spans on a bridge, the load capacity of PolyGrid is increased many times over.
Key features of PolyGrid:
PolyGrid also doubles as an efficient pathway over muddy terrain. PolyGrid complements the larger PolyTrac Mat, which can also take heavy vehicle loads, including aircraft.
