PolyEthylene (HDPE, MDPE)

Polyethylene is a tough, general purpose translucent plastic with moderate hardness. Its strength lies in its food contact approval, low cost, high cut resistance, ease of machining and moulding. It possesses good abrasion resistant properties and a very low friction coefficient. It is the world's most recycled plastic.

Polysource HDPE sheets and rods are available in various grades, including a premium recycled grade, depending on the application. MDPE sheet is also available where higher impact or crack resistance is needed.

HDPE grades available are PE100 pipe grade for higher strength and chemical resistance applications such as chemical storage tanks, P300 (PE80 pipe) general purpose grade, and P500 (HMWPE) manufactured specifically for commercial cutting boards.
